Fish Vet Group reveals new management structure
Fish Vet Group today announced a new management structure with world-recognised aquaculture veterinary surgeon Dr. Hamish Rodger taking on a newly appointed role of Global Managing Director, with responsibility for coordinating the company’s clinical and diagnostic operations across its centres in Scotland, Norway, Thailand, USA and Ireland. After twenty years with Fish Vet Group Inverness, Managing Director David Cox will now take up the role of Senior Diagnostic Consultant and veterinary surgeon Chris Matthews will move into the position of Operations Director overseeing the Group’s veterinary, diagnostic and technical services in the UK.
Speaking from Galway, Ireland, Dr. Rodger commented: “I’m greatly looking forward to working with Fish Vet Group’s international centres. The rapid growth in global aquaculture production means that health issues often present a barrier to sustainable growth. Through combining an expert-led, evidence-based approach to aquatic health alongside investment in innovative diagnostic technology, Fish Vet Group can offer our clients – from aquaculture producers to veterinary and fish health colleagues in industry – a unique approach to sustainable production.”
Current Managing Director for FVG UK, David Cox, commented: “This is excellent news for all of our FVG teams around the globe. Hamish is a renowned and highly experienced aquaculture vet. His appointment will ensure that we continue to develop the high standard of the clinical and diagnostic services we provide to our aquaculture clients around the world.”
Veterinary surgeon Chris Matthews, who currently leads the Clinical Services Team from the Company’s base in Inverness, will take on the newly created role of Operations Director with full responsibility for all of FVG UK’s activities including veterinary, diagnostic and technical Service offerings.
